Introduction
TnT Ministries is a small non-denominational Christian organisation which aims to equip Christians to teach the Bible faithfully, effectively and imaginatively to children and young people.
The work of TnT falls into three broad categories:
- Training youth and children’s leaders (volunteer and employed).
- Writing and publishing Bible teaching material.
- Promoting and selling teaching material and resources.
The Trustees of TnT Ministries are seeking to appoint a Training Director who will oversee and direct all of the training work of TnT Ministries, building on the excellent foundation, reputation and ministry opportunities which already exist.
Key Responsibilities:
The Training Director will be responsible for:
- Leading the well established training ministry of TnT Ministries.
- The tactical focus and direction of the training activities of TnT Ministries, including new product development.
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of TnT Ministries, including supervising the activities of the Office Manager, consultants (eg accountant and webmaster), any support staff and volunteers.
- Developing further training opportunities and products.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Devising and developing new materials (a medium term goal).
- Assisting in the ongoing re-editing and re-publishing of TnT teaching material.
- Reporting to the Board of Trustees.
Experience and Qualifications:
The Board of Trustees wish to appoint a man or woman of godly character with a passion for ministry to children and young people and the training of leaders.
The Trustees are keen to appoint ‘God’s person’ for this role, and are therefore open to applicants with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. However, it is anticipated that the Training Director will:
- Be a mature Christian with strong evangelical convictions and must be able to subscribe and adhere to, in belief and lifestyle, the Statement of Faith.(Please see UCCF statement of faith, here.)
- Have experience of working with young people in a church setting.
- Have experience of working with and training volunteer leaders.
- Have a passion to see God’s word taught faithfully and engagingly to children and young people.
- Be a person of adaptable personality, able to work with people from a broad variety of backgrounds, churchmanships and experience.
About TnT Ministries:
TnT (Teaching and Training) Ministries was formed in 1993 as a result of a growing concern among Christian leaders and parents about the way children are taught the Bible in church and Sunday School. Its desire is to encourage and equip Christians to teach the Bible faithfully, effectively and imaginatively to children and young people.
